Overview

Join Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), part of the Toronto East Health Network and Ontario’s leading community teaching hospital as we create health and build community. We have proudly served the diverse, multi-cultural population of East Toronto since 1929, offering an extensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based programs and services delivered by more than 3,000 employees and 400 physicians and midwives. It is an exciting time to be joining our team as we have opened our new eight story Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre, a transformational project that will forever change the hospital and the care it provides to our community.

Conveniently located near Coxwell subway station, and with easy access to the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway, MGH offers a strong sense of community and an admired workplace culture where our people come first.

MGH’s Pre-Critical Care Team (PCCT) members will enter a stepping-stone program established to pipeline them through from our inpatient medical-surgical nursing units to Critical Care areas. This unique position is for Registered Nurses (RNs) looking to grow in their career and to expand their knowledge in a highly supportive environment. Team members will work across the medicine and surgery programs in the first phase of their MGH onboarding to bolster their clinical acute care knowledge, skill, and experience in preparation for entry into the Critical Care team’s selection process. This is an incredible opportunity for nurses, from the novices looking to jumpstart their careers, to the experienced interested in growing their career and becoming critical care certified.
