Position Overview:

Under the direction of the radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision at this level and not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.  
Performs a variety of technical procedures thatwill require a certain amount of independent judgement, to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for procedures and CT scans.

May perform some teaching of students or radiography technologists in the practical aspects of Mammography

Perform Quality Control testing as required.

Education

-  Required - Certificate in Breast Imaging - Screening (CBIS)  
-  Requred - Certificate in Breast Imaging - Diagnostic (CBID)
-  Required Breast Imaging 1
-  Required Breast Imaging 2
-  Required - Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent
-  Required - Current Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (C.M.R.T.O.)

Experience

- Recent Hospital experience required.
- Demonstrated patient focused care.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work as an effective team member.
- Good work and attendance record required.
