OVERVIEW

We are looking to recruit a dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic individual to join the Michael Garron Hospital’s Health Records Management Department.  This exciting internship opportunity will offer a HIM student the opportunity to develop good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks more effectively.  Within this role, you will participate in a project from start to finish while gaining valuable hands on experience in health records functions and administration.

EDUCATION

-    Required to be enrolled within the Health Information Management Diploma course 


QUALIFICATIONS

-    Demonstrated flexibility with the ability to efficiently and effectively multi-task.
-    Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a busy team environment
-    Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, accurate and efficient
-    Demonstrated computer skills – proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite required & electronic health record an asset
-    Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
-    Demonstrated ability to adhere to the MGH Standards of Behaviour
-    Good work and attendance record required.
-    Experience interacting with multi-cultural and multi-lingual populations preferred
