Overview 

Performs a variety of technical procedures in CT and radiography that will require a certain amount of independent judgment. May be involved in some teaching of students in the practical aspect of Radiography and CT.

New MRT graduates are welcome! On-the-job CT training is available for successful candidates who are currently trained in X-Ray.

Education 

-  Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent
-  Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario(C.M.R.T.O.)
-  Advanced knowledge/education in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy preferred

Qualifications

-  Minimum 2 years CT Technologist experience in the last three years preferred
-  Minimum 2 year helical multi-slice CT scan experience (preferably on a Toshiba CT scanner)preferred
-  Demonstrated ability to function in a professional and courteous manner
-  Demonstrated organizational skills
-  Demonstrated ability to take initiative within scope of responsibility
-  Must be available to work evenings, on-call & statutory holidays
-  Good work and attendance record required
