Requisition #: SLEEP2401 Job Category: Diagnostic Imaging Department: Diagnostic Imaging Job Type: Casual Open Positions: 1 Job Number: J0124-1709 Position Overview Sets-up, perform and score sleep studies. Ensure proper functioning of the lab. Primary Responsibilities - Performs night-time sleep diagnostic tests. - Score tests from previous nights testing. - Maintains accurate records and participate in weekly sleep rounds. - Participates in weekly sleep rounds. - Receive patients and complete documentation. - Orient patients to the lab, facilities and testing procedure. - Set-up patients for study. - Closely monitor patient during testing and maintain a written log of significant events. - Titrate CPAP levels as required and contact home-care companies as indicated. - Score previous nights studies and prepare charts for physician's interpretation. - Compile monthly statistics. - Assess supplies/equipment and prepare requisitions to maintain an adequate inventory. - Maintain records of maintenance activities. - Ensure lab is ready for day-time activities prior to completion of shift. - Keep Director informed of lab operations on a regular and frequent basis. - Work safety in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act. - Other duties as assigned. Education - Registered as a polysomnography technologist by the American Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) - B.C.L.S. required.
