Overview 

Under the direction of the radiologist, performs radiographic procedures and CT Scans at a technical level not requiring constant supervision at this level and not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.  Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require a certain amount of independent judgment, to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for procedures and CT scans.

Education 

-  Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent
-  Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario(C.M.R.T.O.)
-  Advanced knowledge/education in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy preferred

Qualifications

-  Minimum 2 years CT Technologist experience in the last three years preferred
-  Minimum 2 years helical multi-slice CT scan experience (preferably on a Toshiba CT scanner) preferred
-  Demonstrated ability to function in a professional and courteous manner
-  Demonstrated organizational skills
-  Demonstrated ability to take initiative within scope of responsibility
-  Must be available to work evenings, on-call & statutory holidays
-  Good work and attendance record required
